About Michael

Michael Mapp is a Wandsworth/Battersea artist producing and exhibiting works centered around black culture in the U.K. shows include the African & African-Caribbean Design Diaspora (A.A.C.D.D.) exhibition at The OXO Tower, the largest and most significant show for work by black artists, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair Jacob Javits Centre, Manhattan- New York, the U.K.T.I. British Business Embassy at Lancaster House showcasing Britain's top 250 creatives. Mapp was the Creative Production Manager on the Neil Kenlock MBE's Expectations Project launched at The Black Cultural Archives funded by Heritage Lottery, and has exhibited at several solo shows, most recently showing in the Wandsworth Artist Open House from his Wandsworth studio at a time before the pandemic. Mapp is a multidisciplinary artist and creative fashion and cultural photographer who regularly works with numerous brands. Michael Mapp is also the founder and Director of Wandsworth based Arts and Urban Sports non-profit Urban Studio Sessions and hosts workshops, holiday programmes, weekly clubs and events in Wandsworth and surrounding boroughs helping over 2000 since 2018.
